If you are unsure as to what care you need, please do not hesitate to contact the office and we would be happy to explain a bit more about each of the care services.
This is our most popular service and is perfect for those who just need that extra bit of support to live at home.
This is the reassuring presence of Amaris staff member with you throughout the night. We have both sleepover care as well as waking night care available.
This is when Amaris staff member lives in your home full time. They are on-hand to assist with all activities of daily living both during the day and overnight. When the level of support required reaches a certain level, it may make both financial and practical sense to look into live-in care, also as an alternative to a care home.
We support people with a range of disabilities and complex and challenging needs to live how and where they choose in supported living services.
We offer opportunities for people to live as independently and inclusively as possible. People are encouraged to participate in outcome- based programmes enabling individuality, promoting positive and safe risk taking and through identifying any barriers to achieving their personal goals.
Our senior management and staff team have experience in supporting people for years, so we value what good quality support looks like.
Amaris Care provides all staff and management with a comprehensive induction and on-going programme of education and development. All our staff working with you daily will undergo additional specialist training, which is responsive to individual need and to ensure continuity and consistency of support.
Support is available from a couple of hours a week to 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Amaris Care has a policy of promoting the maintenance of service users’ normal social networks and social activities. The service user’s care plan includes a facility for recording life history, social networks and contacts, and preferences for activities and hobbies in order that the service user is offered access to those networks and activities which are appropriate and desired.
Service user’s care plans are reviewed on an individual basis, as when required according to assessed need. If you feel it is needed, then you can request a review to be conducted and we will try to arrange a suitable date and time with you.
The first step is to arrange to visit you in your own home. The registered managers will discuss with you to find out your individual requirements and the range of services we are able to provide at Amaris Care. This process will be formalised into an assessment of your needs, which should form the basis for a decision by both you and us as to whether the necessary service can be provided. In common with all records regarding service users, the assessment(s) will be made with your full knowledge and cooperation, and the records will be shown to you and be available to you at any time.
The registered managers or one of our team will visit you in your home, or in hospital if necessary, and will document a pre-service start assessment with you. This initial set of information will form part of your support plan which illustrates and reviews how your family and our staff gain an understanding of how we can use our skills for an overall improvement to your health and wellbeing.
If you have any questions please discuss them with your key worker, or contact the registered managers, who will be very happy to answer them. We manage the commencement of service arrangements according to a detailed policy and procedure, a copy of which is available from us on request.
